Want the Feels of being in a K-drama? Not a dream anymore! here’s how!

Want to be in a Royal K-drama?  Been thinking of putting yourself inside the world of Korean telenovelas during the Joseon Dynasty? It’s easy and definitely possible. No more day dreaming, because it will be a reality in no time! Here’s how:

We are planning our trip to the United States, when we realized we wanted to have a short side trip to Seoul. We booked for Asiana airlines with multiple destinations so we can save a little bit on our airfare. Few weeks before the trip, as I am browsing through my instagram feeds and searching for a 3 days DIY Korea Tour, I came across Oneday Hanbok. I checked on their account. I was thinking maybe it is possible for a rental hanbok, but a dramatic, excellent photo is necessary to make the experience last, hence I was about to abort the mission.

Good thing we came across Haru Tour Snap, (of course in Instagram again, haha). We sent an inquiry and boom! They replied! They are easy to talk to, and will reply to all your questions, concerns and requests.

4.     and wait for their reply.

When the date and package was already set. You’re good to go.

On the day of the shoot:

We arrived 1 hour early at the hanbok rental shop at OnedayHanbok located at 4 Bukchon-ro 5-gil, Jae-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea

Because we are a bit worried. It was raining continuously and we can no longer reschedule the session because we will be late for a more longer flight to USA. When they asked for our name and our reservation, gladly they found our reservation!!!

They were ON time. Not early but on time. we booked a hair and makeup artist too! They allowed us to choose from many different hanboks, all in beautiful colors. But you are only allowed for 2 fittings. After all the trials and fittings in choosing a Hanbok, they will ask for you to wait in the beautiful makeup room with all lights and colors just like a celebrity dressing room. The Makeup artist arrived on time and kind enough to do what specific style we want.

After all the preparation now we're excited! Hogan Kim, our photographer arrived few minutes early at the makeup room. He was very kind and professional. It was raining hard during that time and we had 3 different locations for the photo session. He was kind enough to let us ride his car. (but that was just his kindness, it was stated in the email, that if you need transportation, you should take care of the photographer’s fare too) we offered to pay, but he was very kind to give us a ride.  It was cold, raining and windy. The only good thing we can get from it, there were few people almost none in those palaces and parks. We enjoyed the shoot. We felt like prince and princesses back in the ancient days. Just as we thought everything’s over, we also had a “Date night photo shoot” before the day ended. And since he has his own vehicle and lives close to where we were staying at, he even gave us a ride back. It was such a kind and good gesture.

The whole experience was superb! And we merrily recommend the whole team over and over again! From the hanbok rental at Oneday Hanbok, to the makeup artist and to the photo sessions with HaruSnap-Photography and of course our very talented photographer, Hogan Kim.
