Varying views of The Golden Gate Bridge: Where to Spot?

 Hello! Anyong!

There is no doubt that when you hear San Francisco, a mental image of the Golden Gate Bridge comes to mind. Yes, I know because it's one of the most photographed bridges in the world. The first time I visited this world famous bridge, I didn't get a decent picture of it. Simply because I didn't know better and some reasons would be, one, time is short, two, crowd was busy and three, traffic gets congested.

After moving to the Bay Area for about a year now, I am able to see this beauty every so often. Given the chance to explore the city we had the opportunity to spot different places to view this iconic bridge. To save you some time researching, here are the exact location to get your "Instagram-worthy Golden Gate Bridge".

Golden Gate Bridge View Vista Point
Location: H. Dana Bowers Northbound Rest Area
Open 24 hours

The whole bridge can't be seen. but nonetheless this is the Golden Gate Bridge!

Battery Lancaster
Open 24 hours
2 hours maximum parking

This one is my second favorite spot, which we frequent. Aside for a clearer and vast view, you can walk/jog or bike through, from and around the bridge. I used to have my weekly morning walk here and those were just refreshing!

Battery Spencer Observation Deck
Location: Conzelman Rd, Sausalito, CA 94965

This may have the best view of the bridge with the city of San Francisco as the backdrop, however it is quite difficult to find parking here. There are only limited spaces available in relation to the number of people visiting.

There were times there's no available parking spaces adjacent the Battery Spencer overlook
and this was the closest we can do. Try going very early in the morning.

Fort Point National Historic Site
Location: 201 Marine Dr, San Francisco, CA 94129
Opens 10am- 5 pm
They have clean restrooms too, which is a plus!

Crissy Field
Location: 1119 E Beach, San Francisco, CA 924129
Open 24 hours

Definitely this is my favorite. I love it when I'm close to the water and the field is huge. wonderful place to take a walk.

By the Bridge itself
(through walking)

Under the bridge
(by car)
