How to make the most of your One day Stay in San Francisco

If you’ve been reading my posts and had peeked in to my social media accounts, you might wonder if  all my time is dedicated to traveling and wandering, (i wish! lol) then probably you’re mistaken! I am actually busy during the weekdays and have the Sabbath for the Lord, I only have Sundays to explore the beauty of His wonderful creation!

Sooo.. since I am living in LA, San Francisco is quite a long road trip. Its approximately 4 -5 hours from LA excluding pee breaks and eats. But so much for that, lets get started.
If you are just like me, who has a day to spare, and wants to spend it wandering around, then lets bring it on!

Coming to San Francisco, night before can be a wise move, since you’ll be having the entire day exploring the city! We leave LA, Saturday afternoon, and reached San Fo around midnight. If you have the whole Saturday, then make use of it.

To start the Day!
We stayed at a nice budget hotel in the middle of the city, so we don’t have to drive long for our destinations. Parking is extremely hard to find in the city especially in a Sunday since parking establishments are closed. We ended up leaving our car in the hotel and just walk and utilized ride sharing apps. (and we highly recommended to do this, since parking is extremely next to impossible during Sundays!)

Fisherman’s Wharf

who would have thought we'll see him here! haha
We leave our car in the hotel parking lot and walk for 20 minutes to the Fishermans Wharf. It is quite a long walk, but a little exercise is better to start your day right! And we had our breakfast around the Pier. There are lots of resturants and fastfoods in varying choices. We saw an In-and-Out and the line is extremely looooonnngggg. I guess that’s an understatement. So, since we were hungry, we ended up in a Vietnamese Resturant, which unexpectedly filled our hunger for Asian taste. Then after eating, we walked around the area. Fisherman’s Wharf is quite huge. There are lots to see and visit. There is the Pier 39 with lots of eats and shops, Madame Tussauds San Francisco was also around the area, Ripley’s Believe it or not, maritime museum, Girhardelli museum and a whole lot more. You have to see it for yourself.

Cable Car and Cable Car Museum
They have 3 routes for the cable car which can bring you closer to tourists attractions. hitting two birds with one stone. this is an icon of San Francisco way way back 1957!

Crooked Street

this famous street is located at Lombard St, and this is one of the America's crookedest street!

Palace of fine arts
This place is located at 3301 Lyon St., San Francisco CA 94123, and was originally constructed for works of art exhibit for the 1915 Panama- Pacific Exposition

Golden Gate Bridge
this bridge was known to be the longest and tallest suspension bridge in the world with a main span of 4,200 feet and a total height of 476 feet

We’ve been spending a lot of time in each places taking pictures hence our time allotted in each place gets a little longer than expected, so we haven’t had the time to visit the Alcatraz island and do some cruising along the bay… so this happens during our One day sightseeing in San Francisco. We’re hoping we can go back again, and try other attractions. We leave the city around 8 in the evening and reached home in the city of angels in the twilight. That was tiring but really refreshing!

Hopefully our place-to-visit suggestions helps especially for first timers in San Francisco

Hope this helps!
