Must See and Must Do in South Korea!

First on my list, is wearing of the Hanbok traditional Korean Clothes. there are multiple establishments that let you wear this in varying prices. According to some tourists, I've talked to, some are overprized, that you have to pay for every picture taken while wearing the costume. I happened to go to Korea in a packaged tour and this is somehow inclusive of the package. We had unlimited number of pictures and you can even change the Hanbok you are wearing. free use of head wig to portray as the queen mother as well.

Don't miss to visit Nami Island. it is well known for the Koreanovela "Endless Love: Winter Sonata" and "Endless love: Autumn in my Heart". At this place, you cant help but fall in love.

Changing of Guards Ceremony will be seen at the main gate of Gyeongbok Palace. This happens every hour from 10:00 in the morning till 3:00 in the afternoon. Nothing beats the traditional way! from costume, attire, the place! it was just so historic!

Visit at least one of the 3 teddy bear museums in the country! the one i happened to see was the Mt. Seorak Teddy Bear Farm. full of bears you'll definitely love...

shopping is fun.. being one of the developed countries in Asia. High end stores are seen everywhere in the city... but if you were on a tight budget but still wanted to buy some fashionable clothes..

...they have stalls of Amateur Fashion Designers outside the street. they were not yet branded but fair enough if your looking for style and fashion. cheap finds and greater value for money

don't forget to try their food! i was amazed that you can see few fast-food chains in the country even in the city, and we were lucky enough to eat at local diners to experience the local cuisine. of course in every meal, there's kimchi! and i would like to commend that Koreans advocate for health. you can seldom see soft drinks in their local diners they serve only water. dishes are from fresh vegetables, soup, noodles, fresh fish.. etc.. most soft drinks and fastfoods were seen in the basement of the building as they are not really advocating eating those kinds of food

take a train ride! in every country, for tourist and foreigners, train is a very convenient way of transportation.. from county side to Seoul, i had this opportunity to take a train ride. the train is wide enough and you can even see a store inside! cool!
visit the Unification Buddha, this is an important landmark for Koreans as this depicts the unification of North and South Korea. This is located near the border, you can see the North Korean border from here. this maintains peace between North and South Koreans.

bring out the child in you at Lotte World! if you happened to watch the famous koreanovela "full house". this is the amusement park the 2 lead characters were used to go to. As any other amusement park, this is best for children and kid at heart, like me.

If you are traveling with your special someone, this place is something you don't want to miss-- the love locks! just like what you see in London, same principle applies here.. you 2 will buy a padlock, write your names and after sealing the lock, throw the key as far as you can, so that, you and your love will never be apart all days of your life. romantic huh?

every young teenager, loves KPOP! they are everywhere from posters to billboards.. but this place is best for those who love korean stars! Check out The Star Avenue...

lastly, take some time to move around the city. What you can find here? friendly people.. however language plays a major role for communication.. but above all else.. i had the best of my stay in South Korea.. will definitely visit this place again!

hope this helped!
