Throwback to my First Hong Kong Experience
Aside
from this trip being a part of my parents’ gift for me for my birthday…, I
don’t know anything about Hong Kong. Well, at first, I was told, “We’re going
to HK”, and I was just like “Okay, Thanks!”.
I am not much of a traveller back
then.. I was just a homebody, contented at home doing some boring stuffs that for
me, at that time, were not boring. But this trip led to another one, then
another one… to many more trips…
In
my recent travels.. I usually do some research of places to see and things to
do.. and even what to pack… but back at that time.., haha… I didn’t do
anything!
It
was a packaged tour. And I know, that for anyone who didn’t have experienced in
wandering around, availing of the packaged tour is really of big help specially
to beginners. We just follow the scheduled iterinary and go shopping during our
free time.
However my brother is a bit adventurous that he asked for a map from the hotel lobby and since then whenever we have free time, we were not just shopping at the nearby malls but we had the chance to ride the train as well. At that time, if my brother was not with us, I think, we will just follow the iterinary as it is
Can
you guess who I really wanted to see in HK? My childhood love—Mickey
Mouse. “Andito nalang din sa Hong Kong, hindi ko pa ba bisitahin si Mickey?”
Yeah!
I can’t hide the child in me… (and embarrassing as it may seem), yeah, its me… on my not-so-beauty-consious-me. Well,
I don’t care, I just love mickey mouse, and they have tons of them..
And
one of my favorite part in the Disney Adventure was the Pirate Land with the
Tarzan’s tree house. Am just charmed to know that all of the island, the water
surrounding it, were all man-made… (well today, that is not much of an
amazement.. but this was years ago)
Hmmmm..., looking
back, this is something I shouldn’t be ashamed sharing…. This was technically one of my first out of the country experience (since during my childhood years, I don’t mind where my parents will bring me.).
Sabi nga nila: “ the
first will always be the worst… but you’ll learn from it leading to your best adventures.
and cheers to a more wandering experience around the globe!
